Boy, I have a crazy story. I really don't know where to start.
Well, to start I am a dedicated servant. I serve God. I serve my family and I serve my country (US Army, re-enlisting into the Reserves in 6 days). God, Family, Country. I can't think of anything else better to live for.
Life in the past few years have been crazy for me. I joined the Army in 2001 got out in 2007, started making crazy cash as a IT Contractor, got orders to reactivate and deploy to Afghanistan a mere 8 months after getting out the Army. When I came back, my company illegally denied me reemployment into my old job. I was forced to move 2 hours away for a new job. 2 weeks after starting the new job, the company set me up to get fired and that I did, but they legally couldn't stop paying me. So they tried to get me to leave on my own. I, soon thereafter, went to the Department of Labor and took legal action against my company. They placed me again, this time, into a LINUX position. I have 0 LINUX experience. As it stands, I am learning how to be a LINUX Administrator/developer on the job, I am still being paid (Thank God for that) and lawyers are now handling it.
The music background is pretty typical expect the last 12 months. I was in Chorus forever, I started to learn the sax in 6th Grade. I moved in 10th grade and met the most horrible Band Teacher ever. 2 things went wrong. First, he would give 0 for not attending band practice, because I played football instead. Second, I kind of knew he was doing something wrong with other students. In 11th grade he attempted to touch me inappropriately, instead I messed up his wrist pretty bad. I quit after that. He was later fired after he was exposed (excuse the pun) for having an inappropriate relationship with students. I continued with Chorus. I was also the shower/car singer. Until 2008, when I joined the Worship team in the Church in Afghanistan. While I was there, a friend tried to teach me guitar. Here is a clip of my deployment from Afghanistan.
I am excited to be a part of this community and learn some new things.
