Let's see those hideous or absolutely absurd customizing jobs!

I generally like diamond plate, but they made a mistake trying to plate half the headstock! All I know is I would've done a two tone diamond plate, cut out an egg-guard shape and left that chrome :)

Does diamond plate add a lot of weight to a bass, I know James Hetfield has some diamond plate on some of his guitars.

I'd say it adds about two or three pounds...

Go here for my friend's thread about diamond plating an Explorer, supposedly didn't add TOO much weight...

Most likely not...it's more expensive to have a custom finish done than have a guitar diamond plated. Not to mention the guy selling it says its real :p

    Let's see it!

  11. if you use aluminum diamond plate it shouldn't be to bad (as far as weight goes). Better yet, find some plastic diamond plate, I've seen it out there.
