And remember that each person you sacrifice has a family member(s) who will miss them just as much as you would miss the most important person in your life.

That's a more reasonable question. Anyone who says yes to the original question is a psychopath.

In a 1 for 1 trade I'd have to know more details of the situation. The most important person in my life is only 8 years old. If the other person is anonymous there's a pretty good chance they are much older than 8.

Also, who's doing the asking? Is it an evil-mastermind with a gun to my head or are we stuck on sinking ship and there's only room for so many people on the lifeboat?
