Wrong-gauge on Neutrik plug?

Hi.

That's strange??

I have never had any problems with Neutrik connectors, and I have used plenty.

It's however possible that the boot material has more plastic content on Yours, and for that reason, the lack of flexibility makes the cable hard to push through the small hole there is. Can You get it through from the "wrong" side?

2 or 3 conductor cables are as easy as 1 conductor IME, as long as the OD of the cable doesn't exeed ~8mm or so.

Regards
Sam

I called the shop, they have no problem exchanging it for me. I was just hoping to use it soon, it'll be at least a week before I go to Tel Aviv again...

Anyway, single-wire-gauge. What kind of gauge am I looking for than?
There are alternatives plugs to match your wire's size & provide strain relief. Maybe you should consider a different model plug, or a different brand? Even better, take the cable with you.

I can't resist asking to hear the differences. I've always thought them the same.
Instrument plugs won't accept large gauge cables. If you're asking whether instrument and speaker cables are different, they most assuredly are, in every detail. Not knowing that fact can lead to a blown amp.
