Are the early L-1000s wired the same as the later ones? I found a schematic dated January '98, but haven't seen an earlier one.

The circuit is brilliant. I'm thinking of modding my Franken P/J in a similar way.

On the G&L support site for schematics there is a hand drawn wiring diagram which is the early version.

There were little changes but there is little to start with.

I've often wondered why more basses weren't laid out with passive bass and treble.
I think the basic L1000 layout is brilliant.
