XLR cables

So I'm getting an XLR microphone and a cable for some home recording stuff, and I've got the microphone picked out, but I'm not sure about getting a cable. I want to keep it inexpensive, but I don't want to get something cheap. How can I be sure I'm getting an XLR cable that's of good quality? I don't want to spend a lot of money on it, but I don't want to get something that picks up interference or will break instantly. What should I look at and how much can I expect to pay?

Whatever microphone cable you get, make sure the sleeve is grounded - I have Planet Waves mic cables - I think they were about $30 each.

So a $30 cable should be sufficient? I'm just trying to limit my budget, since I have other things to account for with limited funds, so I can't afford a really expensive cable. All I want is the cheapest one that won't give me any issues.

Seriously, get a Digiflex. They work fine.

Musicians Friend has 20' Monster for $21 and Musician's Gear for $12. I Have used Musician's Gear for ten years with no problems.
That would be running 4 to 6 cables at every practice and gig.

I always use Mogami Golds when I can, but they're expensive. Is there a difference? Yes. Is it worth the money? If you have it to budget, yes.

I like to buy cable in bulk and make my own. That way I can apply my own shrink-wrapped color codes and labels. I hate getting my cables mixed in and lost...
