EDIT: YIKES just saw your age in your profile. On second thought, just stick with the strings and cables. Although I am sure Maki can also regale you with stories from when "he was your age" and his many adventures with the ladies?

Maki's solution works but on a more realistic what would be cool is a bass strap.


Some can be so unique with different designs that it won't just be another present, plus he'll be wearing something you picked out so a bit of your taste will rub off on him. Also if he's just using an ordinary black strap I'm sure he'd love something a bit more sharp.
