I'm a huge BOSS fanboy, but that's simply crazy.

What some guys will do to finally round up a Slow Gear, and there's no CE-1 Chorus (admittedly, not their compact format).

Let's see. I'm counting 146 pedals.

$75K divided by 146 equals $513.70 per pedal.

Talk about a bargain!

I would gave jumped on it except for that dealbreaker $150 they want for shipping.

I have a Boss: Super-distortion/feedbacker pedal, 2 delays, a chorus, a super phaser, and a vibrato pedal. They're all at least 30 yrs old now. I'm reluctant to consider selling them. They are great tools.

On eBay, these all seem to average at about $125-140 per. That may not include any that Boss simply doesn't make any more.

The best part of that picture is how they are laid out in chronological order of release (excepting the big box units at the back).

146 pedals - some are absolutely garden variety $60 brand new, other are a little rare and expensive.

scrolling through sweetwater to see new boss pedal prices, it really ranges from $60 up to around $220 for fancy stuff. i'd call the average $150.

146 x 150 = 21.9k

considering the original OC-2 labeled "octaver" as one of the valuable ones, they sell for around $350. so about $200 more than my original $150 calculation - not to mention that a considerable number of those would be under $150, and even more if we're buying used.

i'm also not seeing anything that strikes me as particularly rare?

anyway,

i wonder what an actual fair price would be. I doubt it would be more than $25k? his ask of $75k i think is just symbolic, and he does not actually want to sell, his dream was for threads like this to pop up so we can all gawk at his amazing collection.

Huh? My RV-2 box was all beat up when I sold my RV-2, held together by gaffer's tape, mainly because in my early years, I didn't have a pedalboard, so I packed up all my pedals back into their boxes for each and every rehearsal and gig. But "rare" and "elusive"? The RV-2 and PSM-5 boxes were made out of corrugated cardboard, unlike the usual Boss compact pedal boxes, but they were plenty sturdy.
