Is the string spacing on this the same as other BB 5 strings? I've always wanted a BB 5er with 19mm spacing...

The string spacing at the bridge is adjustable, I think you can easily go as wide as 18.5mm, it can do 19mm but the strings might be too close to the side of the fingerboard

I had a couple of the same exact bass. Made in Taiwan. They came in 2 jazz pickup or 2 soapbar format. The BBg5 had a flame top, also made in Taiwan. I also had the Attitude deluxe 5 which was made in Taiwan as well. The made in Japan models say Made in Japan right were yours says BBN5. Some made in Taiwan yamaha say made in Japan on the tuners so It can be confusing. Regardless they are very good, well made basses.

This has upgraded Gotoh tuners, not the cheap stock ones and I already told you this is a BBN5-II not sure why you keep bringing up the A models

BBN5As do not even have the same body type, you are talking about a completely different bass my man. But anywho, these are amazing underrated basses. This is my 4th BBN5 and specially this one is up there tone wise to My Roscoe SKB and my 2 Sadowsky moderns

I forgot to add the II after the BBN5 in my comment. I didn't mention the BBN5A in my previous reply but showed the picture of one as an example since you will never find a picture of a BBN5 II with a made in Japan stamp. Those are very nice Gotoh tuners. And all the made in Japan Yamaha come with very good made in Japan Gotoh tuners with the Yamaha logo as opposed to the cheaper but still decent tuners found on the Taiwan models.
