    Hi all

Does anyone have a schematic for this beastie? Mine just took sick and I really want to get it repaired in time for a gig this weekend.

    Cheers

    Mike

I think it's on top of the unit.

  3. That's just a block diagram. I don't think it is possible to get a online version of the schematics. The closest I've found, and I'm not 100% sure, is try getting the service manual of a B100 amp, I believe the preamp section is the same as the PB-1. Again, don't quote me on this. But if you want to give it a shot, you can buy a copy here:

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have the money to be paying for that manual unfortunately - looks like it's going be a long night debugging!

I just checked that link and they do not have the PB-1 manual (or many other Yamaha manuals) available.

    Mike,

I had one, but I'm not sure if I can locate it (it's been a while). I'll take a look when I get home and see if I can find it.

  10. That's awesome, having the documents available online. I've got a PB-1 sitting around that I need to put back together. I bought it mostly for the crossover circuit.

Lately I tend to use my Eden WT-500 most of the time, sometimes patching in an Ampeg SVP-Pro for more grind.

you're welcome guys. I got them all from different players online. Some came way of a guy on the dude pit (I forget his name).

It was a killer pre and I will grab one if I see one again.

    Another Huge Thanks James.......

I truly dig my newly aquired PB-1 (eBay ($125.00 free shipping). And I like many of you, I have owned just about one of every pre and/or head. This is a very beefy yet focused and controlled unit. And the build quality is top notch.

    Gracias

    Thanx as well, James!

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether the PB1 can tolerate phantom power applied to the XLR out? It seems that most boards now push DC onto the XLR and I'd hate to fry mine.

I run mine on a board that has Phantom power turn on. No problems.

Just wanted to say "Thanks!" to James for having those manuals online - seems like one of the few places you can find them these days!

    THANKS JAMES!

  17. James- since the classic400.com site is no more, do you have a newer website with the manual repository?

  20. Hi, long time lurker, first time poster.

I picked up a PB-1 that needs some of it's magic smoke repalced.

If the schematics/service manuals are still out there, I'd be grateful if they come my way.

    Thanks,
