Rewiring Yamaha TRBX 605 wih Audere preamp. The stock pickups have Positive, Negative, AND pole piece ground.
I've followed directions from Audere, with correct connections as to not have popping when strings touch pole pieces, but continue to have loud pop when initially inserting cable into jack. No other noise present.
I Installed the same preamp on another bass with Duncan ssb5 pickups (2 wire) without this problem.
Is this just the nature of grounded pole pieces or am I missing something?
