Yet another pickup question

I have a MIM Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass with Active pickups (60th Anny version) that I starting to gig with and the pickups are just not up to snuff. I looked at some EMG but I am not sure about installation as there is only 3 knobs of the EMG set and 4 knobs on my bass. I need some more punch/volume (they seem really quite compared to other higher end basses I have played). I am playing blues, Texas blues & southern rock. Thanks...

If you bought the basic set, then you lose the separate bass-treble controls of your Fender and come back to a good old v-v-t.
If you want to keep bass and treble pots, you need an EQ module.
EMG seem like a very bad choice for greasy blues and rock anyway. I'd go with Rio Grande or Fender 62', passive.
