We need to get you a video camera and doing some reviews for me on bassfuzz!
I'm thinking about samples, but there are so many other things I want to do as well...

...you obsess over the correct lighting to accurately portray your board on the TBFX forums. (Natural Daytime Lighting FTW. I just can't get a satisfactory shot with the flash or fill flash and the compact fluorescent in my desk lamp is too yellow.)
Hey Joe....I'm pretty much guilty of the whole...come home from work...plop down in front of my computer and first, check the FX subforum... second, check the classifieds and third check Craigslist. I'll go to evilbay if I know what I'm looking for and think I can get a deal on there.
I'm also guilty of the whole...keep an unused pedal around "just in case" as bassman1185 pointed out.

When you compare your pile of gear to a pile of gear like this ^ and there might be a slight advantage in your direction.
I'll bet that thing makes its own little micro-climate!
When you have various pedalboards to match your shoes/clothes.
When you browse Disco Freq's site just to look at rare pedals that you do not yet own. (BTW, thanks so much Disco Freq! Your site is very handy for GAS accumulation!)
When you buy a pedal sight unseen and sound unheard because it has a funny name, unique color, or is touted to be used by someone famous.
When you have a regular version of a pedal and sell it to get the special edition instead which has the exact same features but has a different paint job.
When you check the tracking website every five minutes while your pedal is being shipped in hopes that it will somehow magically get there a little bit sooner.

When you own multiples of the same effect just to have them at different settings.
When every pedal that you have must be modified to have more knobs/switches/brighter lights.
When you begin to rehouse large pedals so that you can fit more on your board.
When you begin making pedals in an attempt to sate your cravings.
When you own a pedal because you saw it in the post your pedalboards thread.

You know what? I'd always been a P/J Spector fan. That's given me enough tone for ages. It's been my sex. But since I've come to TalkBass, I've been developing an urge to "build" my very own sound. I look through the Effects and I'm totally clueless, but it's all so interesting and new. I know this is HIGHLY off topic, but looking at pictures like this Invalid Link Removed, a guy wonders what's out there for him.

Look at how many of them are actually on pedal boards. He's just got issues with letting go.

In my defense I do try and review everything. I took the picture to mock myself, because I'm inventory heavy and cash poor. I need to move some things.

Speaking of which, please tell me you are going to compare the Hachihachi shiki kebadate hizumaseki SUPER OSCILLO FUZZ 88 [I love mine] with the Hachinana shiki kebadate hizumaseki MODULOSCILLO FUZZ 87, that would totally rock!
