Im no sound guy but gear and running sound interests me.
my eden 410xst cab has a reputation for cutting out. or is it the amps? ive tried to upgrade my hartke 3500 head with heads like wt800b...vt300... ampeg and i always went back to the hartke cause for the money you can't beat it and it's the only head that doesn't cut out... last night once again at a gig my rig cut out cause i'm auditioning a couple new pres... the sans amp rpm rack unit and the bmax tube pre... the bmax sounded great at first but couldn't hear it in the mix very well... didn't poke through. just sounded like woofy bass, that's why my eden heads went back...anyways the sans amp rpm didn't sound as pleasing by itself but it poked through the mix much better. i could distinguish individual notes. it didn't cut out as much but it did cut out twice in a one hour set... seems like every time i try to upgrade my sound i go right back to my old reliable hartke....(reason for the upgrade is my tube pre side took a dump on my hartke) is it the cab? oh, my dcm100 has not arrived yet so i borrowed my buddies digitech hafler 300wt amp for power.... i'd love to hear some comments on my situation... thanks. matt.

ps. i know it's early in the shoot out but man, i should just get one of those brand new hartkes! my old one gave me many years of reliable service with excellent tone!
