Your FAVORITE pedal

Technically anything that is placed close to a weak signal source, buffers it and then forwards it to a downstream device for amplification is a preamp. Most every pedal fits that bill. The Sansamp is also an Amp/Cab simulator with an EQ and OD. Same as the Tone Hammer. Selecting either as your favorite pedal makes sense even in the context of this thread IMHO. Lots of folks are listing dirt pedals here and most of them also have an EQ or at least a tone/contour/presence control.

The best pedal is no pedal and that goes for guitar too.

Trooooooooooooooooll

You do realize that you just broke pretty much the only non-commercial rule on the effects forum past "don't be a dick"?

Well done mate! AND YOU TRIED TO DEFEND your trolling saying it was your opinion so! WOW!

Not "If you could only have one pedal what would it be", I don't want a bunch of preamps/tuners (not that those are off limits though), but whats the pedal that whenever you click it on you just think "damn, that sounds great."

I think for me right now it would either be my grey stache or my EQD Dispatch Master.

I use a Line 6 Bass Floor Pod. It gives my a good combination of "mojo" and sounds great through my GK 1001 RB classic.

For the last year or so it's been my Diamond BCP-1 Compressor. Absolutely love that pedal. Just got a FEA DE-CL which is fantastic (and growing on me)but will it dethrone the Diamond? Honorable mention; Aguilar Octamizer.

My FEA Opti-Fet dethroned my Diamond. I still can't quite bring myself to sell it though. Just not quite. But I am getting closer.

My Diamond Compressor BCP-1. I just picked it up a week ago, and so far I'm very impressed.

I also really dig my Barber Linden, which I currently use when I plug into my computer setup—it really warms up and fattens the tone... and it's so clean!
