Your favorite signal chain to track synths

Hi!

I heard the last M83 album and i´m think it sounds fantastic and impressive. During your career you had relationship with bands who had huge influenced by electronic music (Ima Robot, NIN) so, as a producer i would like to ask you: what is your favorite signal chain to track electronic instruments (analog Synths, bass synths and drum machines)? preamps, D.I etc...

Thanks for the validation regarding the M83 record, I really appreciate that.

As far as the signal chain, I like recording through a pair of A Designs P1 Pacifica preamps for synths. For beefy bass synths and drum machines, I like my Aurora GTQ2 or Erickson-Montessi EM Silver. Everything is usually always run through API 550A EQ's.
