If the Eden is what you like than I would stick with it. But there are so many bassist who changed and will convince you to go with a class D amp that I am curious as to when you do change over, please give your honest opinion as to what you think the change in sound has brought you.

I will let you know. I'm ordering an MB800 in a few weeks. The Eden will be offered for sale soon after that.

You are still carrying a 100lb 4x10 but want a lighter head?? Get a 2 space skb for the head and a compressor pedal. The micros do not sound as good as the wt and other heads of that era IMHO. On the other hand a Maxon cp9pro+ probably sounds just as good as your rack comp.

Shuttlemax 12.2 or 9.2 might work out if you are set on a micro. That was the best of the micros i tried. The low mid control on the markbass F1 is reasonably well voiced the cut the bump on the xlts and get more balanced, but that tone is way more dry and direct than a wt.

Went to GC on Friday and tried every micro they had. Orange, TC250, GK, very harsh, FI, F500, LM III, Big Bang. NONE OF THEM SOUND LIKE EDEN. So if you want that Eden tone you gotta stick with Eden. I'm in the same boat. I want a light weight head to sound like an Eden WT tone stack. They don't. I did sorta like the F500. Parametric eq is so nice. But they do not have the weight in the low end like the older Eden amps. YMMV.

I completely agree! Thanks to the TB Classifieds, I picked up a Mark Bass Little Mark Tube 800. I haven't got it out on a gig yet but in my studio pumping into my Mesa Scout 12 cab, it's showing a lot of promise. It's the first light weight amp thats not a WTX that can be set up with Eden like low end and power to match. I use my FDeck HPF with it to help. I sort of always use that now with any amp so its no different to me if I have to use it for the EQing function as well. I'll report back after I get it going with my Berg AE410. I'll AB it with my Eden so it's not just my memory lying to me.

I would recommend getting a GK mb fusion 800. Just checked it out at NAMM. Similar wump as the mb800, with a warmer sound closer to the Eden.
These amps should be coming out very soon.

I've been happily running a Navigator and a Peavey IPR 1600 for a couple years now. I've gotten GAS to try something different a couple if times and listed it for sale then I chicken out and take the listing down. I do not (haha) ever see myself parting with my Navigator.

Total weight is less than 25 pounds and it sounds great. If I left Eden I'd miss the EQ which of course I use only sparingly. My plan is to get another Navigator as a spare. The only ever amp I have ever considered a close match was a GB Shuttlemax 12, never tried a 9.2 but I'd probably look into that model if I were doing to do it again.

I also picked a WTDI yesterday with the $20 ad at GC and am curious to see what the difference is.

I'd keep the WT-800 and get lighter cabs. I've been running Bergantino AE's since I put this rig together. I also have a Phil Jones 6T/9B set up. I've only used the 9B so far but it really worked well. Just got the 6T and have not had a chance to take both for a spin...but I digress.

Not related but cool. I've been using some of those 3M stick-on LED strip lights powered by a random 12 volt wall wort to get some light at night gigs without the weight of a Furman or something similar.

And with all that said... I'd still like to have micro but the weight of my current set up is tolerable.

That boat seems to be getting crowded, I'm in that same boat also. Out of the micro heads out there, which one is closest to the WT sound? I would like to think it was the SWR amplite but I have not had a chance to try one.

I tried the WTDI and a power amp and that was not the answer for me. I'm thinking of putting my navigator with a Peavey IPR in a rack bag and calling it a day. Maybe not a true micro but lighter than that 6 space rack I have.

Any thoughts for a true World Tour Micro or something close to it?

I'm not really into retaining the "Eden sound". I just liked what I got from the GK head plugged into my 410XLT. It was just way more aggressive, but not cold like my old 800RB used to be.

I'm thinking about getting a lighter set of cabs like the GK 410 NEOs, but I'm not sure if I'd be downgrading?
