Double Bass YouTube videos

I'm trying to learn jazz and classical bass on my own with the aid of books, YouTube videos and forums like this. So far I've learned a lot from the folks at Discover Double Bass as well as from Gaelen McCormick, such as her series on the Simandl etudes.

Does anyone have other favorite YT videos for learning classical bass?

Paul Sharpe has some great videos, as well. A whole series, in fact.

Also, in case anyone was thinking of joining the ISB, this would be a great reason. Once you become a member, you have access to lots and lots of videos from the 2015 ISB convention, covering a wide range of topics (related to performance practice, music biz, audition prep, building bass lines, etc, etc, etc). I've been digging these big time, of late. There's a master class with Alex Hanna, Paul Ellison, Dennis Trembly, Kevin Brown, Leigh Mesh, and more... And just in case you can't afford to join ISB right now, there are some great masterclass on youtube, as well (including a different one with both Alex Hanna, and another with Paul Ellison).

The other site I forgot to mention is the New World Symphony's Link Removed site. It's free to set up an account through them, and just search "double bass" for a whole bunch of great videos.

Klaus would have to be one of the most "unconventional" DB players I have seen, from the way he holds the bass to the way he uses his left hand, but hey, he is a master of the instrument!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Klaus's seemingly "odd" playing style just has to do with German/Austrian performance practice (I'm speaking of his bowing technique/style, in particular). There was a recent Invalid Link Removed episode with guest Erik Higgins, who shares some good insight into the differences between German/Austrian and American performance practice/technique as it relates to arco.
