"Zerocap" cables

Buffering does make cable C irrelevant, but level has nothing to do with it.
yeah, but "line level" specifically means a pretty low-impedance signal, one that's robust enough to drive like 10kΩ inputs with no loss. signals like that don't give a damn about cable capacitance.
 
I'm pretty sure it does something. From the patent it seems to suggest the product does work in a way that won't not alter the original signal. Not by buffering the original signal but by eliminating the capacitance using a buffered signal in the shielding layer which just drops the capacitance to 0, respectively.

and a decade plus later, looks like their V2 moves the box off the cable itself so you can put it on your board, a much more robust setup

still kind of a solution in search of a problem though; bass players half the time have onboard preamps, guitar players like the natural rolloff of a normal cable, and a whole bunch of us run wireless anyway
