Double Bass zoom A3 straight into TC RS112 cabinet?

Hi,I am new to ampflying a DB so i dont know much!
I just recently picked up a Zoom A3 to use as a preamp for my DB- i am quite impressed with the sound. I would like to know if I can go straight out from the Zoom (from its jack output) into a TC RS112 cabinet (via its speakon connectors)? would i have enough volume?
or do i need something else inbetween? many thanks

An effect unit works on line levels. A cab needs a power amp output, so you are missing a power amp. There is no Speakon output on any effect unit I know. And it doesn't make sense unless there is a power amp included too (which does not make much sense at all because that is an amp with an effect unit, not an effect unit with an amp included).

If you have a head with and FX return, you can send your zoom signal into that. It will bypass your heads preamp, effectively turning it into a power amp. This is how I run my rig. If you love your preamp tone, it's a good way to run a rig.
No i dont have a head, thats the problem- thats why i think i will just get a combo-unless you can recommend an inexpensive head thats good for DB

For lightweight and inexpensive a lot of folks seem to like the Fender Rumble series. Doesn't seem to have an effects loop but you could just run the A3 into the input.

Fender Rumble 100 1x12" 100-Watt Bass Combo
Rumble does have an effects send and return on the back. I use one that I double with and have not tried it with a preamp though. Not so good with upright though the preamp may help that. I have to watch my volumes with upright as I get lots of blurbs a hpf solves. Ok for a slab and can be used with a light drummer. It also has an xlr out which is helpful. Best plus is it is very light- like 25lbs so easy to carry in and out of clubs. I have been thinking about adding a grace pre and am currently planning to hold out for an ai or iamp. I saw a rumble 100 the other day for $150 in the TB classifieds. That would be money worth spending imho.
