Benjamin... Sorry, My mistake. I forgot about the Urge 2's. I don't know much about those. I have 2 Custom Shop Urge's with the 2 J and 1 P pick-up arrangement. 1 Sea Foam Green and 1 Black Sparkle. Just under 7lbs. each.

That's really great. I've had one for a few years now (7) and it's the most amazing and versatile bass out there - but I've decided today to sell it and it's left handed and modified to kill any EMI and can be used humbucking if required.

I play on a Hadean 23" scale UKB-23-33 bass with of Pahoehoe Black 22.5" to 24" scale strings, which I love. I just bought a used 24.75" scale Ibanez PNB14E and I want to put Pahoehoe strings on it. I already Uke tuners from Kala. Should I purchase the 22.5" to 24" scale Pahoehoe strings, or the 25-26" scale set? Also, any suggestions saddle mods for the Pahoehoe strings? Thx. David

Thx for getting back Sir. You are the authority on modifying Rondo Basses! The stretchiness why I was considering the 24" scale set. Aquila is good string IMO, but after 1 set of Pahoehoe, I'm hooked by the tone, playability, and intonation. I already have Kala machine tuners and I feel good about installing them.

Any tips re enlarging the Peg holes? The FAIL would be going too far, right? I'm thinking:

>Don't use electric drill. Work by hand.
>Buy a cheap wood reamer?
>Buy 4 drill bits sized to task? (rotate by hand, not w drill)
>Make homemade reamer w sandpaper around tiny bit?
>Catch dust with shop vac pulling from body as I work?
>Catch dust w fabric or mask taped inside body (a makeshift dust bag)?

I've used an electric drill and proper sized bit, but a proper sized reamer would be fine. I would not use sandpaper on a bit. I do use a small shop vac, good idea.
