For Sale is this sweet and relatively rare Ibanez classic - 1994 SR1305-PM, made in Japan.
Natural beauty that fits into any genre and context, but I'd argue it's the comfort and versatility of these basses that earns them their cult following. Fast and slim neck, ergonomic body curves, and a killer electronics package. The original humbucker soapbars have a very clean, rich, powerful tone - like a piano. The preamp is the perfect match for the pickups and has a 3 band EQ with semi-parametric mids, allowing for endless tone sculpting. Weight is 9.3 lbs.
Not a closet queen, this bass has been gigged. A previous owner clearly loved it and logged tons of stage time with it, correspondingly it has a fair amount of honest cosmetic play wear that I did my best to capture in the photos. The phillips screw-heads show some oxidation, usual dings and nicks on the body, wear around the edges of the headstock, but the back of the neck is super clean and smooth. Comes with original, fitted hardshell case that is in good shape, just missing one of the little bumper/feet, as shown in the photo, and has one small ~2" hairline crack in the plastic on one end, but certainly not bad for a 31 year old plastic case!
Only selling because I keep reminding myself over and over that I'm a short-scale guy, by getting a sweet long-scale like this Ibanez and then just not feeling at home on it.
$875 + flat rate $75 shipping. CONUS deals only please. Paypal would be preferred method of payment.
Of course Central Florida face-to-face deal would be very welcome!
No trades at this time.
Thanks!
