ACF CUSTOM "HAPPY ACCIDENTS"

P2 shaped body, genuine mahogany core, curly birdseye maple top, walnut accent stripe. It's chambered as well (though not super light, unfortunately).
Quartersawn maple neck with slight birdseye, graphite support rods, and a 2 way truss rod.
Katalox fingerboard (harder than ebony!), stainless frets, LED face and side markers, 20" radius, 33.5" scale, zero fret.
Nordstrand Zen Blade pickups running into a Status Graphite Board 303 preamp.
ABM bridge with Hipshot UL tuners.
Finish is TruOil.

This was built during one of the Talkbass Build Offs. You can see the build process HERE. Some specs have changed since then, but they are updated in this listing.
And the "glamor shots" were taken by @petch, thus the difference in the quality of shots.
(Petch is an awesome photographer, by the way)

The end result bass is freaking awesome. There is a ton of clarity from the pickups. The preamp has a functional range that bests just about anything else on the market. The neck is very comfortable and the spacing is adjustable up to 19mm (where it currently is). The neck gets nice and flat and stays there, the frets are practically indestructible.

I've used this a bit, but I haven't really beaten it up or anything. You can see play wear on the pickup tops and a small spot where I rested my thumb. There are little scratches here and there, but overall, it's in really nice shape. And I put a piece of felt next to the zero fret to quiet a slight buzz I heard there once (not sure if it still does it).

Weight is 9.8 lbs. Not light, but not heavy. Balance is fantastic, the 33.5" scale makes for easy playing, while still retaining plenty of string tension and a thunderous B string response.

This is one of my personal basses which I kinda never planned on selling. Unfortunately, life just seems to be forcing my hand at the moment and there's a few other basses in my collection that are more precious to me at the moment, so I have to let this one hit the market.

If you were to ask me to build this one again, it would basically be about $4k to replicate. And I probably wouldn't even do it, to be honest, so this is a 1 of 1, in essence.

Includes a nice padded gig bag in like-new condition.
Would be glad (and may opt to anyway) change the knobs, if you'd prefer black Sadowsky style.

String spacing at the bridge is about 18.5mm. It's adjustable and I think that is pretty close to the widest it gets.

I'll see if I can get something recorded. Thought I had something, but I guess I was mistaken.

Here's a sample of the sounds, blending pickups and showing what it does with the preamp to some degree. Just basics. And I kinda flubbed stuff, but you get an idea of the voicing and capabilities.
