I always enjoy crossing paths with a stranger and having an easy friendship sprout organically. Geoff was a true gentleman throughout our entire exchange, and I have no doubt that's just who he is as a person.
I was looking to trade my Mesa TT-800 for an Aguilar Tone Hammer 700 plus some cash my way, and that was exactly the offer Geoff approached me with. Fast payment, fast shipping—he was all around gracious. The Aguilar's tracking stalled on 10/4 due to "uncontrollable circumstances," and I had no updates from UPS for five days before I reached out to them. I learned that the truck carrying the Tone Hammer was involved in a collision. No further information was available, and I was told the shipper needed to initiate an investigation. Geoff was quick to assist, and after a couple of days, the package was delivered to my door.
A lesser packing job might have left the amp with major damage. There was a puncture through the side of the cardboard box. But when I opened it, I found a smaller, sealed box inside, with a thick layer of packing material separating it from the outer box. My precious Tone Hammer was safe and sound, totally unscathed inside its protective "cardboard kangaroo pouch."
When there was a real possibility that the amp might have been damaged in transit, Geoff made it clear he wanted to see me satisfied no matter how things played out. He could have just shrugged and said, "Good luck," but instead, he stuck with me through the process.
On a final note—holy cow—I am incredibly pleased with the Tone Hammer. It's in excellent condition, and the tone feels incredibly "right" to me. I couldn't be happier.
In summation, Geoff is outstanding, and I could not recommend him more. Thank you so much, Brotherman!
