$1450 shipped.
Trades for lined fretless 4 or 5 strings, cash either way.

I got this as a way to explore what Tom's basses are all about.
These are incredible basses in every way.
Sound, build, finish, comfort are all superb.

I'm selling for two reasons:
1. I need lines
2. Proceeds will go towards a new Clement with above mentioned lines

I'm the third owner, and this has barely been touched.

Taking into account all the custom specs on this, to order it new would run you at least $2675 based on current pricing options.

Only a couple small impressions on the trail end of the body. Super small, and even hard to notice. That's it. No other blemishes. See photos.

Specs:
6.6 POUNDS!
Chambered mahogany body
Quilted maple top
34" Scale
Mahogany neck, about 1.875" at nut
Birdseye maple fingerboard
Nordstrand 51 P5s A3 pickup w/ birdseye maple pickup cover
Hipshot bridge w/ Ghost piezo - 19mm spacing
Hipshot ultralite tuners
Luminlay Side dots at the “fret positions” and Luminlay dots on the Birdseye knobs.
Contego Pro-Tec bag
Dunlop strap locks (bass side only)

The neck is a bit more round near the nut and flattens out brilliantly as you move up the neck. Very comfortable.

The action is laughably low. It's ridiculous.

Controls: mag-pickup volume, mag-pickup tone, piezo volume in neck to bridge order.
The piezo volume knob is push/pull with one setting being brighter than the other.
Mini toggle switches between piezo only, both piezo and magnetic pickup, and magnetic pickup only.

It's my first experience with a chambered bass, and it has some serious thump.

I like the blend of the piezo and magnetic pickup the best, but just the piezo in the brighter mode is pretty sweet too.

I'll work on some sound clips this weekend.

This thing is gorgeous and is still on Tom’s site. There are a couple of sound clips there. I can’t believe 3 people have owned this beauty already!!! If it had lines, I would have already sent you the funds. I’m afraid of no lines, since I’ve never played fretless before.

I feel exactly the same about the lines. I'm so used to them on my other fretless.

I checked with him before listing this and it's not been recommended, unfortunately.

Wow, that thing is beautiful and I'm seriously thinking about it. I have to to decide if I can justify having another 5 fretless to compliment my Veillette from a gigging standpoint. My Veillette is only piezo though and I've always wanted to be able to blend magnetic in to it. And the control setup is exactly what I'd want. Damn ;-)
