Here we have a killer G&L Tribute L2500, complete with my 'totem' mods. I call them my 'totem mods' because after playing an L2500 with them, you'll have to check your totem to make sure you're not in some fantasy dreamland (Inception reference!) 
Anyway, back to reality, the mods are these:
1) Each pickup has it's own series/parallel/single switch. So, each pickup can be independently switched to single coil mode, along with the standard series and parallel modes. This is better than the normal switching mod because this way both pickups don't have to be on the same setting. For example, my favorite setting is neck single coil, and bridge series. You have infinite switching possibilities.
2) This L2500 has wider string spacing than normal. By spacing out the saddles, I was able to get 18mm spacing. This is completely reversible if you like the narrower spacing better.
This is a Korean made Tribute, ash body, which I bought new in 2005. It's in super shape with no major nicks or dings or anything. Just normal wear that you'll see from a 5 year old bass that's been played. No visible fretwear. No buckle rash. One of the tuners has some chrome flaking off, but it's on the post and not visible when it's strung up. If you need a featherweight, this is probably not for you. It's close to 10 pounds. I don't have to convince you how phenomenal this bass sounds. A stock L2500 is one of the best sounding basses ever, add to that the single coil mod and you have something special. She's wearing a new set of Curt Mangan nickels. Original (super nice) G&L gigbag included.
