Details

I have for trade a 2009 Fender American Standard Jazz V in very good condition. Sunburst Finish with Tort Guard and Rosewood Board and Duncan Straploks. Comes with the new Fender TSA style molded case.
Original owner had a Seymour Duncan preamp installed but I've since had it removed (I will include it in case you want to re-install it. It is set back to stock and currently wired for Master Vol - Blend - Tone. There is a route under the pickguard where the pre was. I don't have a pic of this yet.

Pics look a little Red/Yellow to me. Color is darker more like the 1st Picture.

I like to be completely up front there are 2 items that need mentioned. There is a tiny ding in the back of the neck that doesn't affect anything and also the original ower tried to install a diffrent type of string tree that didn't work out so there is a hole that can be filled in. Actually looks worse in the picture than in person. You can see both of these in the last 2 pictures!

Just gotta case of GAS so let see what offers I get. I do need this to be a 5 String.

How about a straight-out sale? This is my dream bass. I have a Highway One Jazz that is this instruments look-a-like that I would trade plus cash on my end. 402.677.4209 is my cell...I'm in music clinics today, but can pop out.

I've had two Jazzes but they were both Deluxes, but since getting my Precision V I've toyed with the idea of getting a Standard Jazz to complement the Precision. The fact this my P5 has the identical look - 3TS/rosewood/tort - makes this even more interesting.

I just have to figure out if I'm *really* willing to trade either of my other two basses, both of which I love, to get it....

:help:

I don't want to get your hopes up just yet because right now I'm not yet willing to part with what I have, but since you asked ...

I have a 2006-ish Stingray 5 HH which is my number one right now, thought only by a slim margin. Sound, versatility, feel, relatively light for a Stingray, it's impossible not to love it.

I also have a 2004-ish Warwick FNA Jazzman 5 which I just got a couple of months ago. Now that I figured out how to get the sounds I want out of it I'm liking it more and more, enough that it's giving the Stingray a real challenge for the number one spot (so does the Precision for that matter, it's really hard for me to pick a favorite).

EDIT - I see in your profile you've already owned a Stingray and two Warwicks. I'm almost hoping you say, "Nah, I've already had them, not my thing." ;) I also notice you play in a band called Bedlam. When I was in college I played in a band named Bedlam. I seriously doubt it's the same band/people, but it's a funny coincidence.
