SOLD FOR $800+SHIPPINGSo i am the proud owner of two Bergantino NV610s. Sold my ampeg 810 to purchase these. Love the way they sound together, but im starting to miss my 810. Just want to see if anyone is down to trade their 810 for my 610. they are both about two months old, purchased brand new from willies american guitar in st paul, minnesota. Both of them have rubber feet installed on the sides so i could stack them if need be, but i can remove them if you dont want them. This would be a local deal only (minneapolis, mn) unless you wanted to drive here. Doesnt have to be an ampeg 810, jsut tell me what you got. would prefer if it was in the same good condition as my 610s. will post pics soon or feel free to pm me and request some.

mainly just the height of the ampeg. if bergantino made an 810, i would have two of those right now haha. almost all of the shows my band plays are in basements without pa support, so i have a hard time hearing myself sometimes. i can definitely FEEL what im playing (its kind of hard not to with 12 10" drivers pushing all that air at you) but my guitarist is very loud and his fullstack is right at my ear level, and there's usually a wall of people right in front of us so i cant move forward enough to hear myself clearly. and i thought it would be easier to carry two slightly lighter cabs down basement stairs, but i feel like it was a lot less of a hassle to make one horrible trip down the stairs as opposed to two not so bad trips haha. i love everything about these cabs, and might decide to keep them after these next couple shows if i can figure out how to make it work, but i did love my ampeg just about as much.

I have a plywood 810E that's been sprayed in bedliner and has an AV grill. It looks great. If you were closer i'd totally be down to trade...

alright. thread's open again. looking for an ampeg 810e in good condition, preferably made in 2007 or later. (so in other words, one thats made with ply wood, not osb). not really sure if i wanna ship for the trade. unless you wanted to buy one of the 610s, in which case we can talk about prices n such.

oh and if you're local and have a different kind of 810 you would want to trade, let me know. ive only tired a handful of 810s, and so far i like the ampeg the best, but that doesnt mean i wouldnt like something i havent heard yet.

Leave one on it's side and stack the other veritically on it's side. I have an ampeg 8x10 and the berg as well. I'd rather move two of the bergs than one of the ampeg. The extra height and width makes it a pain in the has to navigate staris and get through doors. You have a better setup and just don't realize it. It's you deal though. Those bergs stacked on their sides are as tall as the ampeg anyway. One vert and the other flat would give you 1' more than the ampeg with a tone more power. I'd love to run a pair, but there just isn't a point in clubs.

the only problem i experienced when running them on their sides was that there was a huge loss of bass response. it sounded alright, but i couldnt feel it nearly as much as i can when they're upright. ill try your suggestion later today and see if that helps. and you're right. i think i just might need to stick it out for a while til i get used to it. i do remember how much of a pain that 810 was to move.
