I bought this bass a couple months ago and it's awesome, but unfortunately I found out at last nights extended practice that it just doesn't jive with my shoulder. I've had shoulder issues with a lot of basses but I didn't expect it with the Ric, with it being a short scale. It sucks and I'm bummed.
After my first practice with this bass I decided it needed some work to get it where I wanted it. It's currently strung BEAD and it is set up for that. This might be a problem for someone wanting a standard tuning. Worry not! If someone wants it back to standard, I will order a new nut, install it, and set it up before shipping it off. Shouldn't delay things much.
I did a lot of work to this bass last week, including a fret level, crown, and polish as well as a full shielding job, which cut down on the noise quite a bit. I cut the nut to proper height and fine tuned the bridge saddles. It plays great, and more importantly sounds great tuned down with the Circle K's. This Ric also has a treble bezel, and will come with all the case candy as well as the pickup cover. It's in mint condition. It's been to a couple practices but it's spent most of the time in my house on the stand. Weight is 9.5 pounds.
This is one of the only Ric's I have seen where there aren't any noticeable flaws. It came the way all Ric's should; Playable, lightweight, and awesome. I simply made it a bit more awesome.
I'm looking for [DEL]1550.00 shipped[/DEL] 1400.00 + shipping.
As far as trades, I honestly have no idea what I want. Most likely looking for a 5 string, but the right 4 string could work. I prefer lighter basses with G&L or Musicman string spacing, and I've had the best luck with more standard Fender-esque shapes. I can add cash if there was a bass that I just had to have, otherwise I'm looking for a straight trade or maybe a + cash on your end.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Dan
