Details

Rare in the US 1990 Ibanez SR700. Made in Japan. Catalogs like an SR800 from the same era but is factory without the preamp. The pickups are active like EMGs or Seymour Duncan Lightning Rods...

Very clean bass with little use... Factory finish on the neck. These were sold with unpainted necks... The catalog excerpt is from 1993 although this bass is a 1990...

Very Rare Model!!
The controls are volume, blend, tone and the single throw switch seems to be a series/parallel with a more authoritative tone in the down position. Frets are great and it is so cool to see the wood on the neck. Pics don't do it justice really...

I've always thought this A/B to be a "gas"... Not responsible for closing commentary!:o

That's a cool question... I need to get better pics up... It has a matching white headstock...

The serial number on it is:

F0497XX (You know what I mean)

HEADSTOCK SERIAL STICKERS

1987 - 1996 - Guitars built in Japan between these years will have a serial number beginning with F followed by 6 numbers. F is the production factory which stands for Fujigen. The first digit will be the last digit of the year, ie. F8***** is a guitars made in Fujigen in 1988. The last 5 numbers will be the consecutive number denoting production count for the year. 25899 would be the 25899th guitar built that year.

I wuz hoping it would be white, but the others I've ever seen have been black, regardless of body color.

Price drop to $235.00 shipped in the US...

I was checking out vintage Gary Willis like this:

when I bought this bass. That was back when Gary was playing a basswood bodied SR885FL but- these are some versatile basses!

Actually, a slammin' deal!

Wow... A pro quality axe for less $ than the POS "starter" models out on the market new.

Any sort of case or gig bag included?

Good luck. Someone's gonna get themselves a great upgrade to their starter bass or a very gig-worthy backup.

Thats Phil Driscoll. He's a Christian artist, did a lot in the 80's

I see! David Clayton Thomas was the vocalist but Phil Driscoll WAS a trumpeter for the group!

Thanks! You've given me some more stuff to listen to after you "tubing" it...

You've probably heard of Keith Green too? Turning the masses on to some great stuff here!

The bass is gig-worthy right now! It would make an excellent primary bass too! I can try and round up a bag for it if that's a sticking point. It's very clean and is safely arranged at my home to stay that way!!
