!!PRICE DROP!!

This is a 1999 Warwick FNA 5 string featuring an ash body and a beautiful flamed maple top wood with wenge fingerboard. This bass comes with the HSC.

This bass is from the golden days of Warwick and is from the first run of Ovangkol necks as 1999 was their transition year to Ovangkol. This bass is truly a transitional model in that it has the countersunk/recessed Dunlap strap lock system (locks will be included), a great feature which made Warwicks a cut above other manufactured basses in my opinion. This also has a neck profile that feels on the thin side for a 5 string ovangkol neck which is a really nice feature. Some of the ovangkol 5 string necks can get extra chunky but not this one! This is from the earlier days of the slimmer jazz type neck profile.

For those who are not familiar with the FNA, this is Warwick's take on the MusicMan Stingray but it also doubles as a great P bass if you want that sound. The bass features a three band EQ and a MM style pickup. However the pickup is placed a little closer to the neck which is a little easier to play and gives a little more beef to the tone if you want it. You get the MM tones by using the 3 band EQ and if you activate the contour switch my pulling on the volume knob, it boosts lows and highs and cuts mids giving a nice P type tone. This is very cool feature in general and is also a great set up for a quick tonal adjustment on the fly.

The bass is certainly what I would describe as "touch sensitive" in a very good way. Very responsive and easy to play. And a fantastic B string as you would expect from a Warwick!

This bass also has a very nice look owing to the top wood. It looks high end but not in too flashy a way. The bass also balances nicely and the Corvette body style feels great.

Condition of the bass is excellent. Only “issue” (if you can eve call it that) is some finish checking that traces the grain of the wood at the bottom corner edge of the bass as shown. Barely noticeable but I like full disclosure.

I am including the hard shell case which pictured. Note the contour inserts have come a bit loose but still perfectly intact and working just fine to protect this gem.

I am asking $SOLD shipped conus in OHSC obo for this one. And obo means the market will bear what the market will bear so if you are interested please do PM a best offer-- worst I can do is say no :) Also, please add $25 for shipping to MST or PST time zones. I am also happy to ship international but please PM me first if you are outside the CONUS as we will have to look into feasibility of shipping and agree upon terms and additional shipping costs.

I would consider trading in part or in whole for certain pre 1999 Warwicks so if you have one, let me know. Otherwise, I prefer to do a sale for this one.

Feel free to PM any questions.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the pics below!

Here is a bump. Also I have had a question about international sales so I though I would update this post accordingly.

I am happy to ship international but we will have to agree upon terms and additional shipping costs, etc.

Thanks!
