This was the brand and exact model of bass which lead me down the path of "the dark side" and ignited the fire for my bass hoarding personality disorder (BHPD). The Pentabuzz is unbelievably sweet and served as a "gateway axe" for 24 more basses I did not realy need but absolutely had to have. Pedulla cratfsmanship, artistry, feel and playability is of the highest quality and the fretless tone very open and unique. Whomever buys this baby is going to have a ton of fun with it.
GLWTS!

Mark Egan does an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating this bass:

so, is there a problem with that?

One can NEVER have enough basses. Ever!

Oddly, after getting my Hexabuzz 17.5mm I believe I have 'almost' broken my own BHPD. I am tempted to sell off a few of my meager 7 bass collection because I love the Hex so much I am not touching anything else lately. I do have another bass on the way, and if that is anything like what I hope it will be, my BHPD is over and the clearing shall begin.

Or I guess what I am saying is once you get one of these Pedulla Penta's or Hex's, why would you really want any other (fretless) bass?

I realize this is kind of a backhanded insult to the OP/seller, but I can't begin to understand why anyone would sell one of these....

Oh yeah, and BTW, seller's a great guy so GLWTS!

Thanks for the kind words! To answer your question, I simply wanted that Victor Bailey Jazz more than I wanted to keep the Pentabuzz, and, believe it or not, the tone I get from my Squarmoth fretless Jazz is closer to my ideal fretless tone. It turns out I'm just a Jazz kind of guy. Anyhow, the bass is still for sale, so please pester Chad at thebassshopseattle.com. Thanks!

I covet this AND a Hexabuzz one day, but don't have the funds yet. But I understand wanting other tones because the Pentas are so extreme that I also covet an F-Bass for a less crazy mwaaaaaah

What exactly IS a squarmoth? I didn't find anything when I searched so I'm picture some weird hybrid Squire/Warmoth. What exactly IS a grit?

Haha! Yes, Squarmoth is what I call my Squier VM Jazz. I had Warmoth make a goncalo alves/bocote lined fretless neck for it, updated all the hardware, replaced the stock Duncan Designed pick ups with SD Antiquity IIs, and added an Aguilar OBP-2 preamp. The only original part left, basically, is the body. With Sadowsky Black Label flats it's the closest thing to producing my ideal fretless tone. Very warm, very articulate, but without excessive gank or crispy-ness in the highs. Depending on where I have my right hand and my attack, I can approximate the Jaco burp or keep it extremely smooth. It mwahs when I want it to, but sounds like a fretted P set to its warmest settings if I want it to. It's actually the bass that I play the most.

Maybe you need a Xmas layaway plan?

Yes, you 'should' covet this! I played both my Penta p/j and my Hexa j/j last night. Penta had 19" spacing and flats, Hexa has 17.5" spacing and rounds. Different tones but all yummy goodness!

I am amazed no one has bought this one because a new one is over 2x the price. This is quite the deal for an amazing bass. Yeah, I know, I'm biased but I wouldn't own two fretless Pedullas if they weren't so incredible.

GLWTS!
