To be clear, this is a fishing expedition. I am considering letting my Super P5 go. And I am stressed out about it.

I spend all my time on this and the SJ5. And while I love this bass with all my heart, I find myself regularly reaching for the SJ as it feels as if it was custom made for my body. It is beyond intuitive.

I am not even sure what I am interested in. Other basses in this price range. Another Ding, the right SJ, Sadowsky, higher end Jazz clone, etc. I am weight sensitive so not interested in anything weighing more than 9 ish pounds.

I took delivery of the SP5 after waiting 9 painstaking months. 8 pounds 8 ounces. I will recheck but it is virtually spotless.

I ordered with reverse P pick up placement. Read the Dingwall forum for differences over standard placement. Basically, the B has a bit more definition and upper register is a bit warmer As info, the body is routed at the factory for either PU placement.

I'd prefer not to sell. But someone will surely ask. I'll take 2400.00 shipped and insured at my expense, CONUS only.

All paperwork, tools, and blue Dingwall gig bag provided. I think I even have the original shipping box although I will have to verify.

Be happy to answer any specific questions. Thanks for looking.

Gorgeous.

If I was independently wealthy I'd snap this up in a heartbeat, alas my funds are tied up in my own custom Dingwall build...first world problems ;)

Word!

They are remarkable. Haven't bought a bass or even looked at anything electric since. Hence my trepidation.

That's a STEAL for that bass... hope it never sells and you come to your senses. (fretless P5? see Dingwall master thread.)

Hey Z I'm a worship bassist in SW VA and I like what you've done with your amp rack. Could you tell me how you fixed the face plate on the lower portion of your rack to accommodate your effects? Thanks Franktone

I'm not sure that I understand the question.

My rack has a glorious Reiner 6SL7 Pre made by the the amp nerd above, JGR. Under it is a Carvin DCM 3000L.

MY effects are run via pedal board.

Thanks. Already have 2 great offers. Tied up on a work party so I'll pull this in the next 48 hours after making a decision.

Last call.

I think you need a cooling off period before making a rash decision. I'll swap my Z2 for the SuperP for 30 days, maybe that will make you realize how much you miss it, and give me a chance to try a short scale Dinger.

Although, that suggestion could create intolerable DAS for both of us....

Jeff, all this means is that we would both add yet another !

If I still have it, you are one of the few folks that I would trust to lend it out for a gig, but only if you're willing to take a beer bottle to the melon to protect the Super P. I know you have some rough services down your way! ;)

I would only play the Super P at church if we did something like that. We made the parishioners switch to red solo cups due to past issues with the broken bottles.....

Beautiful bass and I like the Reverse P. Wonder why you don't see more of them. I assume this has an alder body but is the fretboard wenge or pau ferro?
