For sale Custom Wilkins finished Lakland Darryl Jones 5

I bought this from another TBer and had it drop shipped from him directly to Pat Wilkins . It was originally the ubiquitous charcoal grey and I already have one like that and wanted a second in a different color. I had Wilkins do a dark orange with black edges and matched headstock, a subtle variation of the classic burst. Since Wilkins does finish work for Lakland he was able to apply the correct Skyline decal to the headstock. Unfortunately, the bass was advertised as being under 9 lbs and it is not. It's 9 lbs. Live and learn. next time I'll weigh it myself first. I have 3 other Laklands (55-94, 5501 and the grey DJ5) that are all under 9, so this one is seeing no action. It is as new, and plays/sounds superb, like a DJ5 should. 35" scale, 19mm spacing @ the bridge with the uber comfy, svelte DJ neck I love so much, passive Lakland JJ setup but you can add a pre if you choose; I dig it passive. Note it is now wearing the clear guard. I NO LONGER HAVE THE TORT GUARD in the pics.

Bass is mint with no issues and the refin and setup by Wilkins cost me 650. Price is 1150. It will be professionally packed/insured and shipped CONUS. Paypal OK. Crappy gigbag possibly included but NOT THE CASE PICTURED. I am open to trades or partial trades +/- $$ either way as fair. I have no bass needs but might be tempted by a super light (MUST TRULY be 8.5 lbs or less) Lakland or Elrick 5er, a head by Eden, EA, GB, Ashdown or Mesa or GB, a top quality pedal pre/DI or compressor, a Phil Jones Bass Cub or other small combo, a 110, 112 115 or 210 cab (especially a greenboy design) or anything Mesa.
