That's about right. There is a lot of info and opinion on the Audiokinesis threads here on TB. IIRC, some regular pundit opined that it was comparable to a 3-10" cabinet, but I have no experience with such things. You will need power to get all that the TC112 can offer - it is less efficient than most cabinets, but IIRC, more efficient than comparable Acme offerings - efficiency seems to be the tradeoff for getting the low-end extension that Acme and Audiokinesis can generate from small cabinets. And with digital watts now so cheap and cheerful, this is a smart move.

The quality and projection of the sound are beyond any 2-10" in my experience. I'm addicted to these cabinets because they project so evenly into and across a room, and outdoors as well, such that I can use less volume and know I have coverage, which is particularly good for a non-drum progressive folk group with whom I play. And I'm not aware of any 2-10" that can reach as deeply and cleanly (or be carried as easily) as the TF112, which I particularly dig as a 5-string person. It's a different animal…and I like it…the working man's answer to those fabulous Meyers Sound boxes, which weigh a ton and cost a fortune.

Unlike the 15" versions, the 4-ohm 12" continues in production, but with a different horn. If I have this right, the new ones optimize for vertical dispersion, rather than the horizontal focus on v.1.
