For sale STR Vintage 5 String - OBP3 - TKL HSC - Nice!

I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and I'm going to have to try to liquidate most all of my basses to help cover the cost of my surgery and treatment. As a result I will be listing several basses here on TalkBass over the next week.

This is a very nice STR Vintage 5 string. There are a couple repaired dings on the body but overall it's in excellent condition. It's a 34" scale with 18mm string spacing. The nut measures 1 7/8" and it weighs in at 9 pounds 11 ounces on my digital scale.

The pickups are custom STR and the preamp is an Aguilar OBP-3. It's wired with Master Volume, Pickup Blend, Treble, Midrange, Bass and a Master Tone. The bass sounds rich and warm with excellent sustain.

I have made a few mods which include recessed Dunlop style strap locks, a clear plexiglass pick guard (original white one included) and custom string tree.

It's a great bass that I love to play but I have to let it go......
