Selling my 2010 Suhr Classic J in excellent to mint condition.

Swamp Ash body, Maple neck, birdeye maple fingerboard. Active electronics with treble and bass boost and cut. 70s pickup spacing. Wonderful playability, Marcus Miller-type slap tone.

These are selling now for $3600 new. Asking $2400 plus shipping.

Comes with hardshell case.

Eric,

Hello. Back in the days when John Suhr worked out of the shop at Rudy's, I owned three Pensa Suhr basses. Each sounded different, but they had in common super-fast, thin necks.

Since then I haven't played any of John's basses, so I don't know if he kept using that approach.

By my description, does your Suhr bass for sale here have such a neck?

Yo Snaxter, I think this would qualify as a super fast neck profile, though perhaps not to the Ibanez standard of Wizard necks, if you know what I mean.

On this bass, the action is set very low, and the playing can be very speedy without any buzz. You can roll off treble and get a very hi-fi Janek Gwizdala thing going, with a warm, articulate sound, then crank the treble, turn up both pickups and you've got Marcus. That's both in tone and string attack.

So the Suhr Classic J is like a "Super Fender" type instrument, giving you something comfortable but with more functionality that the original.

Amazing how many people don't know how awesome these basses are.. I just got a stupid low ball offer on mine... Glwts... These are killer!
