This is a gorgeous neck-through Stambaugh 4-string that I have had for about 18 months. I love the bass, but I have far too many basses, and I really need to cut down to (2) 4-string basses ... spouse's orders, plus there are a few bills that need to get paid-off!
Chris Stambaugh built this bass for another TBer in 2011, and it became the "bass of the month" for February, 2011 on the Stambaugh Musical Designs website. Here is a brief description from the site:
I have used this bass in a couple of rehearsals and on a few band gigs, playing mostly pop, classic and modern rock and R&B with it. Since there is no smoking in any of the clubs where I play, and I do not smoke, it has never been exposed to smoke. You can ask anyone who has ever dealt with me or who has seen any of my basses - I take meticulous care of my instruments!
The bass comes with the TKL for Stambaugh hard case that Chris supplies with all of his basses (I have several midrange to super high-end gig bags if that is what you prefer ... just let me know, and I am sure we can work something out).
Price reduced to $1,700 delivered (I was asking $1,800) for this bass, and that price is relatively "firm", as I have more than $2,300 invested in it.
