You're adding steriods with the coil tap? Cool! Jk!..... No really, how is the B string with this scale length? Nice looking bass!

Thanks, it is one of the nicest hunks of wood I've ever seen. I've had a few specific inquiries about the B string and 33" scale. It is not 'holy crap' kind of thing, not like your Lakland or Roscoe. This B is cohesive with the rest of the strings. I've had more than a few $2000+ basses of longer scale with less focused B strings than this guy. The previous owner felt it was in league with the Smith 34" he traded for it.
So here is a soundclip just neck/combo/bridge passive flat.

Alert TB'er got me to remeasure, the spacing is 9/16". I never measured or noticed the difference.

Lot's of inquiries about string spacing and the bridge etc. Here are some photos that will help with that.

Me too! 21/32". A hair over 5/8" . A tad narrower than my P bass. I leave the metric stuff to you pro's.:)

I don't "know" but I'm betting that it's probably 18mm or maybe 17.5mm. That's they way it looks to me.

Here is the guide I use (that came from a Roland GK3B package). Just slip it under the strings at the bridge and it's easy to see the actual spacing.

You should be able to download this image and print it to create your own string guide!

And just to muddy the waters a little more, Hipshot offers only Standard .750, .708 and .669.

Which translates to 19 mm, 18 mm, and 17.5 mm respectively...
Now we're getting somewhere! I'm going to get a micrometer and measure my ruler! Then, with the secret formula we can decode the answer!
