I have G.A.S., and it's killing' me, Smalls! I KINDA NEED TO SELL THIS QUICK! I bought this extremely sweet NS Design CR5 Radius bass a few months ago, due to the fact that I had surgery on my left shoulder and I needed something that was lightweight and easy on my repaired body part. This fit the bill perfectly! The problem is now that my shoulder is close to 100%, I want to play different basses, which sucks because these are AWESOME basses! I play in a working rock band(AIC, Breaking Benjamin, Tool, Def Leppard, Skid Row...)and these basses work just as well in that setting as they do for pop, funk, or gospel!
Here's some specs:
-Maple body w/flame maple top
-1pc maple neck(The fingerboard looks like ebony, and that's what seems to be the consensus)
-24 frets
-35" scale
Electronics:
-NS/EMG Integral Pickup System: NS Design and EMG have collaborated to create this integrated piezo and magnetic pickup system. It features an 18V onboard preamp, which provides extraordinary dynamic headroom. The active electronics are combined with the NS bridge-mounted Polar™ pickup system, the marriage of which puts an exceptionally broad, musically rich spectrum of tone at the player's fingertips. This thing sounds great with the piezos and the magnetics!
Controls: The controls on the RADIUS bass give the player full ability to shape and mix the magnetic and piezo output: Master Volume, active Treble cut/boost, active Bass cut/boost, rotary magnetic/piezo pickup blend, 3-position magnetic pickup selector switch, and 3-position piezo EQ switch.
Hardware:
-
NS Patented Tuning System (US Patent 6,528,710): Based on a design originally created for the NS violin, the RADIUS has a self-clamping, precision tuning machine, built into the body.
This fast, simple system accepts any standard single-ball end, full-scale bass guitar string. No tools are needed: simply rotate the knurled knob to change a string or tune the instrument.
Dimensions:CR5
Overall Length-43"
Body Length-20.8"
Neck scale-35"
Neck radius-15"
Weight-8.6lbs
Bridge Spacing-18mm
Nut Width-1.85"

This ad is for the Natural(the Charcoal is already sold!). I've been gigging them, so it has a mark which is part of the reason I've priced it this way. I'd love to move it quickly, so feel free to make an offer. The ONLY trades I may be interested in are Mesa Prodigy or Strategy amps(or big tube amps in general!), and US or Euro Spectors, THAT'S IT. I'm not really interested in anything else...
Also for full disclosure, I have a Roland GK-3B mounted on this bass. It's surface mounted with plenty of padding, so the finish is still excellent. I just wanted everyone to know. I have a GR-55, so I'm planning on keeping the GK-3B; however, if you're interested in it, lemme know and we can work something out! Thanks for looking!
