This is a gorgeous unique and increasingly rare (discontinued some years ago) bass that I have enjoyed a great deal, but unfortunately money pressures (tax time among other things) means that it has to go up on the block.
This is a full hollow-body bass, modeled after the Tennessee Rose Gretsch guitars. It is made in Japan like other high end Gretsch products like the White Falcon, and the build quality is extremely high.
The weight is 8.0lbs as per my digital scale at home.
The bass is in great condition - the pictures really don't do it justice. There is one screw missing from the pickguard (looks like a standard pickguard screw). There are no nicks or dings anywhere that I can see - not on the body, not on the headstock, nowhere!
The treble side of the neck pocket has the characteristic set neck finish crack - a nice thin straight line, not even an inch - right at the seam between the neck and body pieces.
Here are some specs that I was able to find:
It comes with a deluxe Gretsch hard-shelled case, which is also in flawless condition.
No trades on this one, sorry, I need the cash otherwise it wouldn't be up for sale. Asking $1150 USD shipped in North America, PayPal please (or EMT if in Canada). I'm open to shipping internationally as well, just PM me to discuss what the terms would look like.
PM with any questions.
