The week after I got this in trade, a student returned a fiver they were borrowing and I myself had to return a four string Jazz bass I was borrowing. Things can change quickly around here.
I had some essential set-up/adjustments done to it, and the bass is outstanding. Light and reminiscent of the Sadowsky Metro 5's I've owned.
High quality parts-bass: USA Custom Guitar, Sadowsky, Hipshot
Scale: 34"
Body: Lightweight Swamp Ash (USACG "Jay Jr.")
Neck/Fretboard: Maple/maple 12" radius (0.790" thickness at 1st fret) 22 frets (with overhang--neck fits standard Fender five string pocket)
Nut width: 1 7/8" (bone nut)
Pickups: Sadowsky 5-string humcancelling J/J
Preamp: Sadowsky onboard preamp with VTC
Strings: Fodera nickels (brand new)
Bridge: Hipshot A-type 19mm spacing
Tuners: Hipshot ultralites
Weight: 8.6 lbs
$950 shipped in the lower 48 (it would be about $1400 to build new)
Will consider parting it out, but would prefer to keep the body and neck loaded if so.
Trades: 4-string Fenders (AVRI J or P, CIJ RI J or P, Road Worn J) or clones. I'd prefer a sale so I can buy something I have my eye on.
