The electronics are original, this version has the active passive switch and indicator light.

It has a jazz bass width and I'll weigh it later tonight.

The average weight on my digital scale is 8lbs 11 & 3/4 oz. ( I weighed it a couple of times, all measure mention were within a half ounce of the average)

No. They're one of the better hanging basses that I have owned. The body design with the horn work together to make sure it sits perfectly on a strap.
