*** I had pulled this down because it was out at my tech's for a few days. He did a few things which I wrote about down below. Also, I took new outdor pics because the previous pictures were awful.
I don't know a ton about this bass, so I will do my best...
It is Gibson era, seemingly a 1998.
The neck has a asymetric profile that is killer, it also has dual trussrods making it easy to get the action super low
It is Zebrawood, Purple Heart and an incredible flamed (curly) maple
It has the original Bartolini Electronics, including the awesome radiused Bart soapbars
Controls are Vol/Blend / Treble/Mid/Bass with a mid-switch
Its 34" scale w/ 17.5mm string spacing
It has a custom fit flight case that is in good shape.
***The electronics cover was broken at the bottom screw so I took it to my tech and had him cut me another one. While it was there I had him give it a solid once over and do a setup. He said this bass is the nicest example of a 90s era Tobias he has seen in a while. The neck is perfect and there are very few nicks or dings in the body. The only issue he found was that the treble pot was a little scratchy and he cleaned it up. It functions better, but still makes a little noise. He said that it might just take some time for the cleaner to get into where the noise is.
Looking for $2000 +shipping or trade
Trades: I always list a bunch of stuff that I would want and end up taking something that was not on my list... but here we go anyway. I would be interested in a modern 4 string w/ 24 frets, I don't need a jazz or precision style bass. I would love to find a Zon 4 string. For the right bass, I might be able to add cash. I might also be interested in certain 6 strings as I do not currently have one.
