Here is a stunning Smith BMT! I'm relisting this with new photos.
This BMT features a 7-piece neck (maple and Bubinga stringers) and 7-piece body with mahogany core and walnut accents (not 5-piece like most recent Smith Elites). Exhibition grade flamed maple top. Ebony fingerboard. 18 mm spacing. All original. Very few of these BMT models were made, maybe 150 or so of between 1993 and 1997.
It is in great condition overall with minor play wear. Some tiny dimples/dents I guess you'd call them and light swirling but nothing serious. In the pics below I tried to point out a couple examples of imperfections but they are hard to photograph. Little flaking/discoloration on tuners and bridge. Getting picky there is a little bit of stain bleed right where the fretboard connects to the body which is very common to Smith basses. It is a used bass though I may have missed something but it is really nice and especially so considering it's vintage. I take care of my instruments. Capable of super low action you get with Smith basses.
Has original Smith hard shell case included. Case has some scuffs but is in overall good conditional.
Now for some eye candy. Just look at that 7-piece body!
This one is a real looker and has tone for days. All that bark and bite that Smith basses are so known for.
A new acquisition interest has gotten the best of me so I'm really sacrificing here at $3650 shipped CONUS. Paypal is fine.
Really looking to sell but I could possibly be interested in trades involving 5 string basses such as MTD 534, Roscoe, Ken Smith in walnut, Fodera, pre-Gibson Tobias, etc. Might be interested in a 2-for-1 trade or a trade of lesser value with cash coming my way. Let me know what you've got.
Thanks for looking!
