Here is a beautiful pre-Gibson Tobias Classic 5 string bass guitar. These very rarely come up and this one is an excellent specimen. So I'll say this is a trade feeler. Not sure I want to do this.

Top wood: Goncalo Alves
Body wood: Walnut
Neck: flamed maple with purple heart
Fingerboard: Pau Ferro
Dual truss rods
These things are truly masterpieces and this one is in excellent condition for its age. It is not perfect but really quite clean. There are no major dents. There is some surface swirling and some of the varnish is cloudy like is so common with these early pre-Gibs (see pics where I've circled some examples). It is a used bass and 26 years old though so expect some wear. An excellent example here and a great opportunity for somebody.

Comes with original hardshell case that has some scuffs.
