There aren't too many of these Walnut Elites out there (I've heard less than 100, but not sure if that's accurate), and even less that are 100% original. I got this one a little over a year ago here from a great TB'er, and it's a fantastic bass, but I'm determined to get my bass "collecting" (some may say hoarding) more under control. Since this is one that I really don't gig with, it's time to move it on to someone else.

Fender Precision Elite Bass
The bass sounds and plays great. I would say the condition is very good, especially for it's age, but it's not a closet queen; someone loved and gigged this bass quite a bit. There are a some dents and dings, the worst of which is pictured near the input jack where a small area of the clear coat is missing. Other than that, it's quite good, only a few other small dings. Some of the gold has worn off the neck plate, and one of the fine tuners is tarnished (but at least they are all there!). Frets are in great shape, electronics are all original and work as they should. Scale is 34", Radius is 7.25", Nut Width is 1.75", ebony fretboard, walnut body and neck.
These are known for being exceptionally heavy (some are over 12 lbs!), but this one comes in at a svelte 10.10 lbs. Strung with Ken Smith Medium Taper Core Steels. The heavy-duty ATA case has seen some action, but is in good condition with handle and all latches intact.
$1900 shipped CONUS only. Also will consider a trade for 5 strings only, $2000-2100 trade value.
I don't need to sell this, but would rather it gets played and enjoyed by someone who can appreciate this unique piece of Fender history.
