Z is for the 0 years (2000 to 2009)

I think the 1 means 2001.

If anyone can comment on that I would appreciate it. This is the best I could come up with.

Just a head's up, the Custom Shop double dips on serial numbers. If they tell you the serial matches something else just have them doublecheck. I flipped when I checked my FCS bass, it came back as something totally different.
