Is that what Gibson called a "recording bass"?

I am no expert on this... I think the "recording bass" was manufactured from 1969 - 1971. This is a 1973 which should make it the "triumph bass".

These are fantastic basses. Have a 73 myself, and I will be buried with it. I think. GLWTS!

My understanding is that Gibson never called this model the Les Paul Recording Bass. This one is a Triumph and the earlier ones were simply called the Les Paul model. Gibson did make a Les Paul Recording Guitar that had the same tone panel as the Triumph, which is where confusion of the 'Recording Bass' comes from.
The Gibson Les Paul Triumph might be the best bass that Gibson has ever made.... you could do a lot worse.
