These are quite rare...Especially here in the States. I am needing to pare down a bit with some purchases I recently made. So, I am going to let this one go. I am in the original owner and this bass is in near mint condition. It even still has the plastic on the battery and control cavity covers.
If you are not familiar with Gerald Marleaux he is one of the top rated builders out there today. He is highly respected by all the other builders in the industry for his quality craftsmenship. He is just completing his 25th year in business. These are all 100% made in Germany in Gerald's shop. I actually spent some time with Gerald at the NAMM show last week and he told me that he and Mike Tobias are going to build a bass for each other and do a trade.
Specifics on this bass. It has a Dibetou body, figured birch top, and a crazy 34" scale birdseye maple neck and fretboard with zero fret. 19mm spacing at the bridge. A very comfortable 9.3lbs. The preamp is custom made by Gerald and is a passive/active 2 band preamp with tone. Pickups are custom made Delano humbuckers that are splitable. Each pickup has a switch for series, parallel and single coil. So, this bass is really a swiss army knife. It can do the modern humbucker sound and also do the in your face 70's jazz thing.
New this bass is almost $4k. $2600 shipped for this one with the original Marleaux gig bag.
Trades, I am only looking for 5 string basses and would probably only consider these: MTD, Marleaux, Dingwall. If you have something else, let me know. But, don't be offended if I turn it down. I honestly don't "need" any other basses.
